Breakfast Club Road Trip (Jason can be Bender)

Jason, Lisa, Devin, Chris and I went to U of T, and it was one of the best days of the past two crappy months of my life! I will tell you why by way of a list!

  1. We took public transit ENTIRELY. To Richmond Hill Center. To Finch Station. To Queen’s Park. Gad, it was awesome- such freedom, such independence!

  2. We made friends with an awesome bus driver lady who made a U-turn in the middle of Hwy.7 for us.

  3. We followed a balloon path!

  4. We learned all about Arts and Sciences, Convocation Hall bathrooms, Choosing a College (which didn’t teach us much, though I liked the esteemed old Trinity man), How to Succeed in First Year, Sexual Diversity Studies, Slavic Studies, European Studies (those are all specific to me actually, can you tell?), Hart House best-ever chocolate croissants, University College and affiliated residences, co-ed bathrooms (at which you will probably find out that girls do in fact pass gas :O:O:O), 20 second door timers, the ‘Girls Wrestle on Grass’ Minor program, “How not to take the Double Decker” 101, that UC is MISSING A TOWER, it is possible to get a murderous roommate, there is a necessity for half-meal plans, and finally, geology is awesome. Phew, I don’t think that covers it, there were another million things I can’t remember right now. Point is, we all less than three U of T. (I’d like to major in rhyming please)

  5. We saw the infamous Micah, who embodies all that is just a little snooty and lispy and elite.  There was also a celebrity siting - JT!!

  6. I bought a shiny copy of the Alchemist, with a purple title.

  7. Popeye’s MILD chicken was too spicy for me. I am ashamed of myself. I also kept trying to barter for an apple juice, until I got a free glass of water.

  8. My dad is just little bit ridiculous in that he doesn’t understand the fact that I have NO control over the fact that you don’t choose your program at U of T until the end of first year.

  9. I need anger management because the abovementioned point made me mad enough to punch a wall. Not really, just a frustrated little girly punch, but still.

  10. I went home and mopped. My back hurt like hell, which made me appreciate my mom.

  11. Serenity was soooo good.

  12. Someone was right, I don’t keep much to myself. I hate it when you’re right.

  13. Jocelyn wants me so bad.

Point is, today was awesome because it gave me the chance to ignore the pain of my procrastination biting me in the ass. Also, there is now a definite light at the end of the tunnel that is this year.
